Rapidshare Access Code Wrong?

3 days ago, Rapidshare happy hours were active. After those were over, the unwelcomed access code returned. It was different now, it showed 6 letters and as earlier, 4 letters were to be entered, huh? Today its howing 5 letters. Well, wait for 3 more days to get to normal, lolz, that I won't be suggesting.

You can use Rapidshare as always, trick is you should enter non-repetitive letters among 5 or 6 shown letters. For ex:- if it shows the access code as KCEEDD then enter KCED or if it shows DSSEC then, enter DSEC.

Just enter non-repeting letters, thats it.

We Protest

THE DAY WAS 17TH OF APRIL

For 2 whole years, right from the day I attended my first day at my college, I hated it, much to disappointment and largely due to some of my worst decisions, I have to bear all this for 2 more years, this part of my life is called pursuing engineering.

As I said I loathe(yes loathe, can't think of a more bigger word right now..) my college, but things change, well they did changed for me, for all of us-we the students of PDM College of Engineering...when one student took a drastic step which proved to be fatal, he committed suicide.
Following is a partial news report about what happened :-

Suicide by student sparks violence
Our Correspondent

Jhajjar, April 17
The suicide by an engineering student of a private college in Bahadurgarh sparked violence on the campus as students went on the rampage and damaged college property.

They were holding a college lecturer responsible for the death of final-year student Vipin Taneja.

Sources said the student had been failed in internal assessment by a college lecturer. The student’s parents alleged that this drove him to take the extreme step.

He reportedly set himself ablaze in his house on Saturday. The police rushed to the institute and controlled the situation.

The PRO of the institute said on a complaint of the parents, the lecturer concerned had been suspended. The college had also promised to provide free education to the sisters of the victim.

Story from my side:-
The day was 17th of April, 2008. It was the first exam of our third sessional, yes 3rd sessional instead of PUs, I guess it might proved unlucky for PDM's admin to change slightest of their conventions. We were through the exam by 10:30 AM, and were asked by some senior students to gather up in admin block to protest against the lecturer.

After standing there for about 5 minutes, I realized that all these are going to do is just gather here and bunk the lectures and you know it was like a get-together for most of us. So, I headed my way back to Canteen, well let me admit, I was wrong.

The first thing came as an order was to get rid of our ID Cards as a mark of denying and defying the discipline & rules. Well, we did the same..

After about 15-20 mins, all students were like gathered in the center of the admin block, demonstrating their protest with candal-light vigil(thanx to Rang De Basanti) and chants of "Dwarka...haye haye". Well, I guess it wasn't enough for them, so they went on to break the mirrors of the fee-counters and of everywhere they could and from what I have heard - every faculty present there was running to save themselves.

Now, that was something I never expected. Why I never saw it coming..? is because where students don't agree to mass bunk lectures, how could anyone expect them to do something big like this... Well, they did it , they did it.

I'm happy they showed unity when it was needed the most. It was around then, all the students assembled in front of the admin block with raging chants like "Dwarka...haye haye", "1,2,3,4 Dwarka apni *** ka ****", "Dwarka bh********". One could've clearly felt the unity or the mass anger against our respected(lolz) lecturer.

The concerned lecturer was nowhere to be seen, believe me if anyone could've got even a glimpse of him after all this, some of us might be searching for a nearby hospital for someone.

All the lecturers's faces were to be seen, they were piece of art, none
of them dared to stop any student. While the students were chanting slogans, most of us were video recording all this with our cell phones. Now who says we don't love our college?? lolz..I guess this ain't the time for humor .

Wrapping up now wuickly, students put forward 5 demands :-
1) Dismiss the concerned lecturer.
2) Give the family of the victim Rs. 25 lacs as compensation.
3) Provide free education to the 2 sisters of the victim.
4) From now on, no student will be failed in internal assessments.
5) Lodge the murder case against the concerned lecturer (**victim didn't left any suicide note)

Well, to my current information,
1) the lecturer is suspended(this means its temporary, they have to dismiss him)
2) they agreed to give compensation as per govt. rules/guidelines (which none of us knows)
3) agreed to provide free education to 2 sisters
4) Haha! we're sometimes dream of too much
5) They said they did this, but I have doubts

Meanwhile, the students broke a couple of more windows(including Dean's) , dismantled that lecturer's 2-wheeler(some of my friends are mechanical engineers :D), burned it too, scraped out more than a couple of metal railings...

All the while, I don't know the exact figure but, about 20/40 policemen arrived on the scene to control the situation(haha! as if they could before 300-500 students, lecturer's 2-wheeler was burned before them, huh? now that's what I call the real picture of law & order in India) . And, when the lady police constables arrived, some of the students hooted, ya I know, we're cheap bastards.

I'll update rest of all this soon...

I mentioned earlier one thing changed , dunno about others, for me - it was the first time I was proud of being a part of college, it was more being a part with fellow students in the protest..
This part of my life is called protest.
